HISTORY:
I am the last, as far as I know, of Clan Steelforger. When I was 25
seasons, as close as I can guess, my Clan was raided and
destroyed by the Duergar and the Drow. I was found by a member of a
nearby hill dwarf clan. I was taken in by the clan and
cared for but was always an outcast. Because of this I prefered to be
alone and was often found in the woods nearby. This
is where I first saw Kanin an elven ranger. The first few times he
appeares I was intrigued. Everyone had told me to leave
the elves alone but I never listened to these dwarves, they did not even
mine the earth. The third or fourth time I saw Kanin
I was to eager and got to close and he fired an arrow to the ground
beside me at which I did not flinch but rather pulled the
arrow from the ground and walked Kanin to returned it to him. He gave me
an inquisitive look took the arrow and dissappeared.
It was nearly a season before I saw him again but I stayed further away,
now I know he always knew I was there, many times
I saw him all but converse with the animals of the forest and they
seemed to follow and help him with what ever he was doing.
One day he said "dwarf show thyself" and as I walked up to him he asked
why I was always spying on him. To this I aplogized and
said "I wish to know thy ways with the animals and the forest, woudst
thou teach me?". Kanin laughed heartily and said
"a dwarf wanting to know of the ways of a ranger now this I have to
see." Over the course of the next 20 or so seasons he taught
me the ways of the ranger, many times he swore that I was wasting his
time and he would dissappear for a fortnight only to come
back to find me waiting and practicing moving silently or using the bow.
At this he would always smile and we would start again.
Then one day Kanin dissappeared. After a few seasons he had not returned
and I set put on my own.
In my many travels I made the aquaintance of many illustrious people and
traveled to the ends of the world and back again. The most
important is the great Balthazar. One day I was walking through the
Vlendan Forest and heard a comotion in the next clearing and
I see a large man fighting a wyvern and I rushed to stop the fight as
the wyvern was one that I had seen often while residing in the
forest, before I get there I saw the man throw a large barrel of mead at
the wyvern and the wyvers grabbed it and drank the contents
of the barrel and immediately quit attacking him.
