Gerraine
Race: My father is a wood elf. I have never met my mother, but my father assures me that I am the result of a great and true love that he shared with a human female. Many people believe that true love between human and elf is impossible. Anyone who ever shared this opinion with my father was not blessed with great intelligence or long life.

As a youth I was accepted in my father's eleven village and able to live
with him and learn the eleven arts. I would have probably lived there all my life if I
were a true elf but as I got older I began to realize that the elves did not think I
belonged there. I left as soon as I was able to take care of myself, and lived alone in
the woods for many years.
It was during this time that I met the Great Balthazar. There was a human village near the
wood where I lived, and I made a habit of slipping unseen into the village tavern and
snatching a beer. I would then slip back to my wood and drink and talk to the trees. (They
rarely talk back but when they do they always have something interesting to say.) One
night when I went to make my exit with the stolen beer there was a large man standing in
front of the door. I could tell right away he was not the average human, and I could tell
he saw me because of the look in his eyes. I considered running but I had a feeling that
this person would catch me even with my eleven speed. Instead I held out the beer and
said, "Have a drink sir." He replied, "Next time you buy me a beer make
sure and pay for it. I own this tavern and I do not like mischievous little half-elves
stealing my beer." The next time I went to the Tavern for beer I made sure I had gold
in my pocket. I looked for Balthazar but did not find him. I got the attention of the
bartender and asked where the Tavern owner was. The bartender said Balthazar was an
adventurer by trade, as far as he knew, and could rarely be found. I was then that I
decided that if it was good enough for that mysterious human with powers far above what
they should be then it was good enough for me. I left the next day with plans to go around
the world and then some.
I've had many adventures in far away places. However, it took coming back to my wood and
the Drunken Wyvern Tavern to meet a wild and unpredictable fighting company/mercenary
group/limited business partnership and continue my adventures in the company of friends.
But all this is another story for another time.
